Joint Sealing

Movement joints handle building expansion. Get the sealant, backer rod and geometry right and they last 20 years. Get them wrong and they fail in one.

The Problem

Sealant applied over paint, no backer rod, incorrect depth-to-width ratio. Cracks reopen within a season.

Our Solution

Sika and Bostik polyurethane and hybrid sealants, correctly sized closed-cell backer rod, primed substrates, tooled to spec.

04FAQ

Common questions.

Silicone or polyurethane?+

Polyurethane for movement joints and paintable surfaces. Silicone for glazing, sanitary and where UV is severe.

Can you match the colour?+

We colour-match to over 40 stocked shades. Custom colour tinting available for large jobs.

Facade movement joints?+

Yes — high-rise facade sealing on swing stage or EWP. Certified for heights.

How long is cure time?+

Skin in 45–60 minutes, full cure 3–7 days depending on depth.

Do you remove old sealant?+

Always. New sealant on old fails at the interface.
